Portable Parallel Analysers from Hach

Hach’s new Portable Parallel Analysis, the SL 1000, allows for more efficient, accurate and simultaneous multi-parameter water quality analysis. One unit can perform up to four colorimetric and two probe-based measurements in parallel.

For years traditional water testing has meant dealing with powder pillows and handling glass vials. Even experienced testers can introduce variability into these manual steps. The innovative Chemkey reagents contain the same chemicals and execute the same process steps as traditional reagents –  but are now delivered in a self-contained package, a Chemkey – as shown below.

Chemkey Reagents

The Chemkey system works to make water testing consistent, repeatable and efficient. They are currently available to test Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Monochloramine, Free Ammonia, Nitrate, Total Ammonia and Copper. Visit our Chemkey Webpage to find the testable range for each of these parameters.

We were impressed by how hassle-free this system is to use. Simply add your water sample into the stand, push in your Chemkey reagents into the unit, and lower the SL 1000 into the stand. A sensor on the bottom of the unit will recognise it’s been placed into your water sample and draw up a water sample to carry out the test. As many as four Chemkeys can be added into the unit to test different parameters simultaneously, which will appear on the SL 1000 front display.

The system verification Chemkeys are used to verify the full system needed to run any measurement on the SL1000 (PPA). These Multi-use Chemkeys verify system functionality for testing all available parameters in less than 60 seconds.

As well as adding Chemkeys for colorimetric measurements you can add two probe-base measurements. Both a pH electrode and conductivity electrode is included within the SL1000 Kit, along with a meter, carry case and much more.
