To prevent the glass pH membrane and junction from drying out it is recommended to store your electrode in an electrode storage solution. The best solution for this is 50% saturated KCl and 50% pH 4 buffer in conjunction with a soaker storage bottle. pH buffer is used because the glass prefers a slightly acidic environment, adding the KCl avoids pH memory effect. Adding 4% sodium benzoate will prohibit mould growth.
