New Genova plus lifescience Spectrophotometer

[caption id="attachment_2530" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="Genova Plus spectrophotometer"][/caption] Jenway are proud to announce the launch of a new spectrophotometer dedicated to life science analysis - the Jenway Genova Plus. This spectrophotometer has pre-programmed methods for the measurement of nucleic acid concentrations and protein assays; as well as measurement modes for measuring nucleic acid purity and cell density. This versatile instrument can also be used as a standard spectrophotometer with measurement modes for photometrics, concentration, multi-wavelength, spectrum scanning, quantitation and kinetics. Based on the successful Jenway 73 series spectrophotometers the Genova Plus has all the same great features: icon driven software and an improved navigation system for easy and intuitive usability; a large graphical display built into the lid of the instrument and an easy access UBS port on the front of the instrument for results and method storage. Coinciding with the successful Jenway 73 series spectrophotometers the Genova Plus has improved optics resulting in a narrow spectral bandwidth of 5nm and an absorbance range of -0.3 to 2.5A. This instrument has a 'press to read', xenon lamp to give more accurate readings and extend lamp life. Both the instrument and the xenon lamp are covered by a three year warranty. The new Jenway Genova Plus has also been designed to be used with the TrayCell. The TrayCell is ideal for DNA, RNA and protein measurements for sample volumes from 5µl down as low as 0.7µl. As the new Jenway Genova Plus is based on the 73 series range all of the accessories which are available for the 73 series spectrophotometers can be used with the Genova Plus. The accessories available include an integrated printer, automatic 8 cell turret, sipper pump, Peltier, combined sipper Peltier, 10 to 100mm path length cuvette holder, single water heated cuvette holder, test tube holder, micro-cuvette holder and standard 10x10mm cuvette holder.
