A&D Instruments have just launched their EK-EP range of intrinsically safe balances.

There are 3 models available in the range; 300g capacity with 0.01g readability, 3kg capacity with 0.1g readability and 12kg capacity with 1g readability.

All of the models are portable, lightweight and have a long battery life of approximately 250 hours – this means there is no need to hook up a power supply in the safe area.

The balances feature different weighing units (g, oz, lb, ct, mom, dwt, gr, N) and can also perform parts counting, % weighing and specific gravity measurements.

Built with safety as a priority, the units are compliant with all major international regulations;
