How can I analyse cooling water samples?

The water used in cooling systems can have a great effect on operational safety and efficiency.

Lovibond Tintometer have developed a portable photometer specifically to analyse all 14 key parameters which can effect cooling water.

Small deviations from the water quality requirements can cause serious consequences and impact on the system by increased wear, poor efficiency and even system shutdowns.

Scale. corrosion, deposits and damage due to micro organisms (biofilms) are just some of the factors which can seriously impair cooling water systems.

To avoid these problems minor corrections can be made to give a considerable improvement in the qater quality. This can help to reduce operating costs and prevent down-time.

The MD100 for cooling water allows measurement of;

  • Aluminium
  • Bromine
  • Chlorine
  • High Range Chlorine
  • Chlorine Dioxide
  • Copper
  • Iron
  • Molybdate
  • High Range Molybdate
  • Ozone
  • Polyacrylate
  • Sulphate
  • Triazoles
  • Zinc

The unit itself is compact and portable, and uses long life LEDs as a light source to give a long instrument lifetime.
